September literally brought a new wind to the Rebuy Stars casino in Zvolen. New tournaments, new poker bonuses, better guarantees, simply more fun. The trio of players - Činoj, Somsi, Hlavina, who in the past few days have brought great poker results from Zvolen - could tell their story.
The series of new poker tournaments of the Rebuy Stars casino in Zvolen was started on Tuesday, September 3 by the TUESDAY BATTLE tournament, which carried an attractive €5,000 guarantee. This was also reflected in the player participation. Not only local regulars, but also old poker fighters from the surrounding area found their way to Zvolen. With a €55 buy-in, 76 entries were created at the tournament, so the €5,000 guarantee was barely resisted. At the end of the tournament, 8 players won prize money from €100 to €876. Tuesday's poker battle ended with a 4-way deal, from which Ján Činoj left as champion.
The action continued on Saturday and this time it was fought for double, i.e. by exactly €10,000! Great tournament poker once again filled the Zvolen poker room. After registration ended, the number of entries stopped at 116. This guaranteed payouts to up to 12 players. Names such as Plandor, Kvasna and Nesrsta appeared on the payroll, but Pipíška-Somsi took home most of the €10,000 guarantee after a 2-way deal. Even when Jaroslav Pipíška left with a higher reward, Richard Somsi became the official winner of the tournament after the split.
The last of the three September tournaments was Tuesday's TUESDAY BATTLE €5,000 GTD (September 10). A large enclave of players from Prievidza and Žarnovica promised a good poker game. This was finally confirmed, because Miroslav Hlavina, a proud Prievid resident, sat on the podium. He took more than €1,200 to Upper Nitra in a 3-way deal.
